Once we find out what your group is looking for we create a customize training seminar series to fit perfect for your goals and needs.
Each group session is typically 2 hours.
Youth One on One Privates are 45 min
It is no problem for us to have students work in pairs, as a group or doing solo work. Seminar Series will always include mindset and awareness coaching paired with safety guidelines, mat etiquette, stretching, mobility and flow moments, floor drills, and skill development.
This is adult learning so don't worry you don't have to be samurai or athlete. Our goal is to bring awareness and a positive mindset towards movement and mobility, self-protection and cultivating a safety state of mind

We recommend to have a least one teacher per 12 students.
For bigger groups we may need to bring on a second or an assistant.
If held at our school location we request that each class has no more than 24 students per group. Multiple sessions can be planned to handle bigger groups.
For new groups we require full payment to confirm dates and booking

A little more in about us and what we can offer
The Sadohana Academy Head Instructor Michael Seamark is a certified BST instructor, and is a ret. Executive Protection Agent, Recon-Geo and former Provincial Use of Force Options instructor Specialist provides a tactical approach to self-defence and protection training utilizing the efficient and effective concept based systems of Japanese Ju-Jutsu and BJJ. Michael is a 8th Degree Menkyo Kaiden Shihan Kogyoku in KoKoDo JuJutsu under Irie Yasuhiro Soke and Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Rodrigo Pagani & Dean Toews
The Academy Co-Owner is Diane Seamark, Menkyo Kaiden Shihan, 5th Degree black belt instructor in KoKoDo JuJutsu and blue belt in BJJ and is the creator of the very cool VLOG tapping into sensitive topics such as tacking trauma, injuries and CPTSD through a mindful and modified approach to Jujutsu and self-defense training. She is our lead instructor for our own Women Warrior and Empowerment Program at the dojo and is also a highly sought out Yoga therapist.
Our modern warrior approach focuses on situational awareness, threat and body cue recognition, tactical communication, de-escalation and disengagement, empty hand tactics and techniques, bladed or edge weapon defence concepts, weapons muzzle control tactics, impact weapons control and defence options, ground defence training and options, team tactics, problem solving and instructor development.
Regular training as a lifestyle is at the heart of our value system and a corner stone with the dojo culture. All individuals wishing to integrate our principle based system should know it takes discipline, patience and effort.
Although the concepts are seemly simple and effective, they are perishable so we work with you to create opportunities to train with routine and diligence.
A person with a tactical mindset has the greatest likelihood of survival in a violent confrontation. We sweat in training so we bleed less on the street.
Training modules are geared towards honing the skills. It benefits those best that have a deep and practical working knowledge of JuJutsu, BJJ, Grappling, Tactical Defense Options and Use of Force Options.
